Tuesday, October 14 - MAG Monthly Meeting. Induction of new officers. Pastel demonstration by Virginia Dauth. Virginia works solely in pastels, creating lush landscapes with the use of bold strokes and the pushing of intense color. She is a member of the Southeastern Pastel Society, Georgia Outdoor Painters and past member of the Degas Pastel Society. Matthews Community Center, 7-9 pm. Guests welcome.

Saturday, October 18 - "Art at the Lake" - Pineville Art Show. MAG juried exhibit.

Tuesday, November 11 - MAG Monthly Meeting. Russell Racine, a practicing attorney who works in copyright protection, will discuss the ins and outs of copyrights for artists and photography and how it affects them. Russ is with the firm of Clements-Bernard and Miller in Charlotte. There are a lot of myths and misinformation on what you can copy and what you cannot, and tonight's program will provide useful information for artists. There will be time to ask questions regarding our own artwork and its protection. Matthews Community Center, 7-9 pm. Guests welcome.
